Melton Hill Park is a 112-acre park bordered by the Clinch River, featuring boat landings, greenways, and picnic areas. The park skirts along cliff edges, making it one of Knoxville’s most beautiful public spaces. Another popular local park is Plum Creek Park. Located east of town, Plum Creek Park features ball fields, playground equipment, and walking paths. 
Located north of Hardin Valley is the Historic Cherokee Caverns, a historic landmark featuring an elaborate network of caves and underground taverns. The Historic Cherokee Caverns are open to tour groups and feature special events, including Christmas in the Cave and Trick or Treat in the Cave. 
Dead Horse Lake Golf Course is one of the area’s best golf courses for those who love golf. Dead Horse Lake Golf Course is a family-owned course featuring 18 holes, a small lake, and lush trees shrouding the course. 
For those who love the theater, Hardin Valley is home to the Clayton Performing Arts Center. The Clayton Performing Arts Center features many concerts and live performances throughout the year and is one of the area’s crowning jewels.
